When was this first developed and tested?
Blood transfusions were first tested in 1628, by William Harvey. But the testing of blood transfusions were given up on once proven unsuccessful. In WWII, studying the science of blood became deeper. Researching different blood types, and what else blood transfusions could do to save lives.
