Rachel Dolezal, born to Larry and Ruthanne Dolezal, was Spokane's NAACP Chapter President. Around 2007, she began misrepresenting her race as African American. Her parents, both Caucasian, had no relations to Africa in their bloodline. When Dolezal first started pretending, she cut off contact with her real parents, since they would blow her cover.
