I think Helen Keller persevered against great odds not seeing or hearing. Everyone thought that no one could help Helen and that she was just stupid and was going to be that way for ever. They thought that she would ever be able to communicate with the out side world ,but she learned the manual alphabet and was able to communicate with other people. They never thought she would get an education ,but she got an education. They never thought she would be able to talk ,but she learned how to and did. She made speeches and talked all around the world.
