Weak National Government

The thirteen american colonies needed a government. This would be an attempt to replace the British system. The Founding Fathers' first tried by forming the Articles of Confederation.

Three broad limitations:

1.) Lack of Central Leadership

2.) Economic disorganization

3.) Legislative inefficiencies
