HOW TO GET HELP

There are several different ways to obtain help if you or someone you know is suffering from a binge drinking habit. Alcoholics Anonymous, one of the most infamous anti-alcohol abuse groups in the country, is a organization that is dedicated to helping any man or woman of any age that has an alcohol problem. AA has a series of informative books to help anyone struggling with their habit get it corrected as easily and efficiently. There are also numerous other online support groups that can help (12stepforums.net, smartrecovery.org, cyberrecovery.net, etc.). These websites offer tips and informational guides on how to get your drinking under control and/or introduce steps to slowly diminishing and then breaking the habit. For teenagers struggling through a binge drinking problem, there are several different determining factors that could be applied to make sure that a teen doesn't get ahold of the alcohol that could potentially cause a binge drinking problem for them in the near future. Increasing alcohol taxes, raising the minimum drinking age, preventing underage access to alcohol, publicizing and enforcing alcohol-related laws, and limiting the promotion of alcohol can significantly diminish the chances of a teenager developing an alcohol dependency. Taking these actions can directly get to the root of the problem.
