* The Intolerable Acts caused delegates to be sent to a conference to protest British infringement of their rights
Results:
1. Suffolk Reserves - called for repeal of Intolerable Acts by boycotting British goods
2. Declaration of Rights and Grievances - urged the King to redress colonial grievances and restore colonial rights
3. Continental Association - committee that enforced the economic sanctions of the Suffolk Resolves
4. If colonial rights were not recognized, delegates would meet again
Fighting Begins
* King's government declared Massachusetts to be in a state of rebellion
Lexington and Concord: large force of British troops seized military supplies in Concord, Americans were forced to retreat, British entered Concord and were attacked by militiamen
Bunker Hill: A British force attacked the colonists' position and managed to take the hill, suffered over a thousand casualties.
