The types of wave lengths & what do they do

Radio waves: type of electromagnetic radiation 

Microwaves: basically extremely high  frequency radio waves 

Visible light:  anything that's hot enough to glow

Ultraviolet light: destroy viruses in hospitals 

X-ray: very high frequency waves

Gamma ray: given of by stars, and by radioactive substances
