How is Biomass Energy Created?
- Most of the energy made from biomass comes from direct-firing power plants.
- In this process, a biomass material such as wood pulp is burned to produce steam that turns a generator.
- Biomass can also create liquid fuel for automobiles.
- Examples of biofuels are ethanol (made from corn) and biodiesel (made from vegetable oils and recycled cooking grease).
