Earth's Landscape and Atmosphere

-The land was mostly warm and swampy. This period created the first of the primitive forests.  

- The growth of these forests removed large amounts of CO2 from the Earth's atmosphere. 

- This lead to an increase of 35% of oxygen in the air, while today's level of oxygen is only 21%.
