-they have 3 pairs of thoracic legs.

-tarsi is 1-segmented.

-claws are paired

-Aquatic forms have thread-like gills on most of the abdominal segments.

-Antennae filiform

-multisegmented.

-Chewing mouthparts are fully developed.

-Front and hind wing have veins all through out them, similar in size.

-Extensive branching in all wing.
