Light Candle

Then the Easter candle is taken and the celebrant says "Receive the light of Christ and then a male in the family lights the candle

The deacon goes on to explain this child is more enlightened by Christ and the "light" they receive must stay burning throughout their life meaning it's the godparents's responsibility to keep them in the faith
