Because the prairie dogs eat all these resources, they are considered a nuisance to farmers who work in the grasslands.
The Prairie Dog
The prairie dog eats grasses, seeds , leaves, flowers, fruits, and insects.
The prairie dog is considered one of the endangered species that lives in the temperate grasslands. On the food chain prairie dogs are considered food to many carnivores ling in this biome.
With the prairie dogs removed from this ecosystem there would be less food for animals such as snakes or owls and less problems for the farmers that live in that area.
