Myth: (Callisto's myth) Zeus raped Callisto, and she became pregnant. Callisto was banished by Artemis for breaking vow of chastity. Callisto went and had her kid by herself. Zeus' wife was mad, so she turned Callisto into a bear. The son(Arcas, which means bear) was a good hunter. The two met face to face in the woods. Scared, Arcas was about to throw his spear when Zeus took Callisto turned her into a constellation and put her in the sky. He also put Arcas with her(little bear). Hara, Zeus' wife didn't like that and had the wife of Oceanus to never let them have water, so they couldn't dip down to the water. This is why they are visible all year round.
