AFTER THE WAR
The war was declared over in January 2002 and Kabbah was reelected that May. In recent years, the United Nations has listed Sierra Leone as the world's “least livable” country. This is because of its poverty and the poor quality of life endured by its citizens. Towns took a while to recover from the destruction done by the rebels. Villagers and soldiers will always be mentally hurt and some even physically damaged for the rest of their lives.
