Research: How it Contributed

Ernest Rutherford has played an important part in the development of the Atomic Theory. He was known as the Father of Physics because of his discovery of the nucleus in an atom. He did many experiments to reach this conclusion including the gold-foil experiment. The gold-foil experiment was a series of experiments that lead scientists to discover that every atom contains a nucleus. He also decided that the atom was full of empty space. He is commonly known as the first person who split the atom.
