Complex Sentences

A complex sentence has an independent clause and one or more dependent clauses.

A dependent clause can be anywhere in the sentence, but must ALWAYS start with an AAAWWUUBBIS. This helps you know that it is a complex sentence, and not compound.

Examples:

Until you let go of your jealously, I will not be your friend.

I will not be your friend, until you let go of your jealousy.

Key:

Green- dependent clause

Red- independent clause
