in April 2015 the Indian and Eurasian plates collided causing a massive earthquake, a 7.8 on the richter scale. People said it felt like 20 thermonuclear weapons going off at once. The earthquake happened in one of the most active seismic. Nepal is prone to dangerous earthquakes because Nepal lies on a "thrust fault" where one plate forces its self on top of the other.
