I would change what they brought with them, so it would be easy and efficient for the British to fight back against the Patriots. Instead of having a haversack that held all of their equipment, I would make pockets on the inside of their jackets. This way the British can get to the "bullets" (lead balls) and ammunition faster, rather than finding it in their crowded haversack. This would help them win the battles because it's lighter and the bag wouldn't be bouncing off of the side of you while you run. The only advantage would be is more organized and finding their materials easier and quicker.
