Reindeer herding
Herders move their reindeer to specific land areas depending on the seasons.




Herds are divided into smaller herds to create less of an impact on the environment.
Herds are moved inward.
Herds are moved out to the coasts.
During this season, most reindeers will swim out to islands nearby the coast.
Autumn
During this season reindeer are divided into the following categories:
Males are separated from the females and calves. Reason being is because "The females feel more comfortable calving without the males present." (Jennifer Foster)
Calves and yearlings, females, junior cows, senior cows, junior Bulls, senior Bulls, and castrates.
Winter
Summer
Herds are moved inward from the coasts.
Spring
Herds are moved towards the coasts.
