Brief biography of Judith Ortiz

•She was born in 1952

•Born in Puerto Rico

•In 1956 her family moved to New Jersey

•She moved schools a lot

•When she was 15 she moved to Augusta Georgia

•She attended Augusta college 

•In 1984 she joined the faculty of the University of Georgia in Athens

•She is now Regents' and Franklin Professor of English and creative writing
