When the centaur Nessus attacked Deianira, Hercules wounded himself with a arrow that had poison in the blood of hydra. The dying centaur told Deianira to take some of is blood also he said it was a powerful love charm. Then Deianira put the blood in Hercules wound and it had caused more pain for Hercules.
