Abigail Williams

"We danced. And Tituba conjured Ruth Putnam’s dead sisters. And that is all. And mark this. Let either of you breathe a word, or the edge of a word, about the other things, and I will come to you in the black of some terrible night and I will bring a pointy reckoning that will shudder you."(Miller 41). Abigail threatens to kill her own friends in a very convincing fashion just to make sure she stays clear of any trouble. This shows her ability to control others.

"She comes to me every night to go and drink blood!"(Miller 57). Abigail destroys Tituba's life by accusing her of witchcraft, she knows everyone will believe her.

"Abigail Williams, seventeen... a strikingly beautiful girl, an orphan, with an endless capacity for dissembling"(Miller 34). Abigail's "endless capacity for disassembling" means that she can tear people apart by only using her words and mind.
