Baptism is about welcoming a new member to the catholic community who wants to be free from sin forever.Baptism is also turning our old life of sins to a new life in Jesus Christ.When we are Baptised we become part of the body of Christ which is the church.You can only be baptised once since baptism lasts forever.

What is original sin?

In the Catholic Church we acknowledge that we are imperfect, this does not mean we are evil when they say that we are born with sin it means that we all have our own weaknesses.The imperfection we have is called original sin when we are baptised we are freed from original sin and blessed with the Holy Spirit.
