Egg & the Omelette

The EGG:

Both the white and yolk of an egg are rich in nutrients - proteins, vitamins and minerals with the yolk also containing cholesterol, fat soluble vitamins and essential fatty acids. Eggs are an important and versatile ingredient for cooking, as their chemical make up is literally the glue of many important baking reactions.

Omelette:

• mix 2 eggs in bowl

• prepare omelette fixings like cheese, ham, onions, salt and pepper

• pour mixed eggs in zip-lock baggy

• put toppings in bag

• quish around contents of baggy

• take all air out of bag

• place in boiling water

• wait until egg feels solid in bag.

• remove from bag and serve hot.
