In the social hierarchy Shi, scholars and officials must wear silk robes, ride in carriets, carry weapons and start battles as they were highly educated. The Nong, farmers and peasants are second because they provide food. The gong and artisans are used as government sectors and private sector. Shang and merchants are last because they aren't that important.
