Beginning at a young age, children are influenced by their peers.

With the increased platform of social media networks, comparison becomes that much more frequent and it ultimately has a greater impact on their body image.

The problems associated with a poor body image include: low self-esteem, depression, perfectionism, internalization of the thinness ideal, and centrality of appearance to self-worth.
