Treatment

- NF is treated mainly with antibiotics.


- In sever cases surgery is needed to remove dead tissue because the infection cuts off blood flow to the infected area.


-Many people completely lose a limb due to the rapid nature of the infection.


- About 1 in 4 people die from NF and in some severe cases death can occur within 12-24 hours.
