Ancient Rome’s Government

- A republic is a government system in which the people of

Rome appoint representatives to rule on the citizens behalf.


- The four major sections of the government are the consuls,

the senate, assembly, and tribunes.


- They all consist of the two social classes, Patricians and

Plebeians.


- Being a full citizen is an important title to live up to because

most people are not able to become one, meaning they will not

have all of the rights that a full citizen does.


- The Twelve Tables were a code of laws that divided the

people’s rights about equally among everyone.
