Genetic Characteristics

Because of the lack of seasonal differences, due to the geographical location of the forests, and the high humidity level the vegetation is luxuriant here. The recurring characteristics of rainforests are basically the following:
• high animal and vegetal biodiversity
• evergreen trees
• sottobosco buio e spoglio, intervallato da radure
• dark and sparse undergrowth interspersed with clearings
• organic matter settling on the ground
• presence of "strangler" creepers
• presence of “buttresses” or large winged ribs at the base of trunks and spindly roots in trees living in often-flooded areas.
