The history of the lightning rod

The lightning rod was first invented in the 1700s, it was invented by Benjamin Franklin (this man was fascinated by the storms that he could get killed in). In 1750s Mr.Benjamin wanted to prove that lightning was electricity.

By thinking of protecting the society and the tall buildings and other structures form that human built over the years.He did the legendary kite experiment which is very deadly to do because what he did was attach a key to the kite and fly it in a storm at his first sight the key received electric charges, which he knew and his son was the only witness of it.
