States are legalizing marijuana but in the federal law marijuana and any other drugs are illegal and prohibited to be distributed cultivated, and consumed for medical purposes. But through regulation and taxation of each state's legislative power, the states are allowed to vote whether they will allow marijuana to be used as a medical purpose.
