Three paragraphs about the book

Recently I read A child called it by Dave Pelzer. It's about a young boys fight for survival.

In this book the little boy, David, lives through many beatings and harsh punishments that he should have died from. His mother treats him like her personal slave. He can not look at any of the members of "the family" or he would get slapped. His father always got him out of being punished, or at least not as bad as a punishment, but eventually his father gave in and left his family. David lost all his emotions through trying to survive but he finally did get out of his mothers home

I recommend this book to anyone that's up for a good read on a harsh topic.
