Author Purpose

We believe that Bronte's purpose for portraying social class conflict in Wuthering Heights is purely to show how prevalent tension between classes really was. Social class was something that effected everyones daily lives whether they noticed or not. Not only does Bronte's story show the social class conflicts, it also adds more to the plot of the story and gives more entertainment to he readers.
