Since Kings death both jazz and pop have become more popular and one of the reasons for that is Cole leading the way for a movement of pop and jazz. Similarly Cole helped pave the path for African-American singers, players, and entertainer with he himself being a household name

He has also helped increase diversity for not only African Americans but for other minority races. He was a spectacular performer who helped the pop and jazz move,nets as well as being one of the first minority performers in popular culture

After his death many of Coles albums went gold as they slowly entered the public domain
