What is an Oracle and what is the most famous oracle of the Ancient Greeks? Why?

Oracle - means by which gods communicate their intentions and desires to humans; usually a site, or sanctuary devoted to a god

- Delphi (City): most famous oracle where humans sought guidance of Apollo

- thought to be the center of the earth

- temple of Apollo (theater): where the Pythia (woman within the temple) spoke out the will of Apollo after inhaling the vapors of the earth and bay leaves

- translated to Greek by
