PLOT- MAIN PROBLEM/CONFLICT

When she was 14 years old, Malala and her family learned that the Taliban had issued a death threat against her. On October 9, on her way home from school, a man boarded the bus Malala was riding in and demanded to know which girl was Malala. Her location was given away when her friends looked towards her. The gunman fired at her, hitting Malala in the left side of her head. The shooting put Malala in critical condition, so a portion of her skull was removed to treat her swelling brain.
