Voters of Mississippi

WHO WE ARE

The majority of Mississippi voters wanting to keep the flag the same, it's a piece of history.

Voters had two choices: keep the current flag, adopted in 1894, with the Confederate emblem of 13 white stars on a blue X, or adopt a new flag with 20 white stars on a blue square, to symbolize Mississippi's role as the 20th state.

Mississippi is embarrassed by the flag because it's what people think up of from its history.

People look at the upper left corner of the flag and think of racism. When in reality the confederate flag was just a symbol of those who went against what everyone want in the north. May that be slavery? Yes, but over 150 years ago was when all of that changed.
