When this sport was invented you couldn't bounce the ball, you would have to pass to a teammate to move down the court. Dribbling didn't come till later.

Players would get points by making the soccer ball into the basket then a player would have to get a ladder and climb up to get the ball. Iron nets (open nets) didn't come until 1913.
