Sentence

-Was put under house arrest and later was extradited to Italy to stand trial for his crimes.

-Charges were at first dismissed because limitations on his crimes had run out. Decision caused a public our cry.

-Received a 15 year sentence, which was reduced to 5 years, then to a 6 month sentence.

-Was finally given a life sentence.
