Conclusion

When Muhammad died Muslims split into two main separate groups. The Shia and the Sunni. Shia people believe that power should have been passed down to Ali bin Abu Talib, which was his son-in-law. They still have the same beliefs to this day. Sunni, the other group, gets along pretty well with the Shia in present time. Although the Shia have had many protests against Sunni there isn't a boundary between the two groups. They share the same holy book which is Quran but each group carries their religion in different ways.
