Montesquieu disagreed with Hobbes because Montesquieu believed that everyone should have a say in the government and different decisions, while Hobbes only thought that one strong ruler should be allowed to decide.

Relationship

I believe that Hobbes would argue that only a powerful ruler should make decisions or else the country would go down. Montesquieu would say that people still need to have their rights.
