- As seen in 2014, companies in the meatpacking industry have been trying to lower costs and expand profits.
- Many companies have severely expedited assembly lines, and unfortunately workers have only been paid 15% more. These quicker lines have inevitably caused animals to be contaminated with diseases. Many industries have found that pigs have tuberculosis.
- The meat packing industry is good though because this industry provides meat at low costs to families who may struggle to earn an income. Also, workers safety is on the rise as less employees are becoming ill.
