What Muscles Does Running Build Up?
Running is a form of cardiovascular exercise done as recreation or as a profession.
Running works on several different parts of your body. It works on your quads, your hamstrings, your calves, and most of your stomach.
As you run, your cardiovascular system grows stronger. You can run faster and for a longer time, but more importantly, a strong cardio system allows more oxygen to enter your bloodstream which prevents the buildup of lactic acid which is the cause of muscle soreness while running.
