Is it still alive?

There are 2 main reasons how scientists think the Megalodon is extinct:

Yes

No

1. Migrated to deeper waters when the temperature dropped and ran out of food sources

2. Migrated to deeper waters to avoid the temperature change but died because of it anyway

Another theory is that their food supply (large whales) became extinct

Scientists believe that, although the oceans are vast, deep, and undiscovered, the Megalodon would've been spotted by now

Statistics show that 80% of the ocean is undiscovered

Many people believe that the Megalodon is still alive, just undetected in deeper waters

Multiple Megalodon sightings have been reported over the years

Although there are many theories, the true reason for the sharks' extinction has not been uncovered

Some people believe that it evolved into a smaller shark that lives deep in the ocean
