~This is an example of HEI because the ocean is a natural resource, and we are using it for our recreation.

~ We are not harming, changing, or affecting the ocean or waters in any way.

~If humans weren't involved, the area would be the same. The waves would be big, the reef would still be shallow, and the waters would be the same temperature.

~This form of HEI is dependency. ~Dependency is when humans are interacting with the environment, but aren't changing it.

~In this case, we are using the ocean for our recreation.
