WHAT IS CLASSICAL CONDITIONING?

Classical conditioning is a learning process, discovered by Pavlov, where a stimulus gains the power to cause a response.

- Unconditioned stimulus (UCS): a stimulus that triggers a response reflexively.

- Unconditioned response (UCR): the automatic or reflexive response to the UCS.

- Conditioned stimulus (CS): previously neutral stimulus that gains power of a response.

- Controlled response (CR): the response to the CS.

There are four components to classical conditioning
