The book of Joshua was most likely created around 1400 B.C. to 1370 B.C. The book does not name it's author but it is more than likely Joshua himself.

The main part of the book of Joshua provides an overview of how the promise land was conquered that God had promised.One of the most popular quotes came from the first chapter, "Be strong and steadfast, so that you may give this people possession of the land I swore to their ancestors I would give them." (Joshua 1:6)
