WIRES

For the wires, we will bring graphite, since it is lighter than conductive metals. Graphite, like all forms of carbon, is an effective electricity conductor, and one of the only non-metal ones. Other elements such as gadolinium, lutetium, terbium and dysprosium all have conductive properties and are found in Pacific islands, where our island is based - it is entirely plausible that we can and will use those for wires.
