French and Indian War
1754-1763
The French and Indian war was a war between the british/british colonies and the french and allied Native American tribes. The two sides were fighting for territory of Northern America. The war lasted for 9 years. The british came out victorious and claimed land but at a cost that left them with a lot debt. He british decided to make the colonist pay for the cost of the war throught taxes. This made the colonist very angry with the british government.
