Northern South America was a Creole-dominated government that was established in 1811 by Venezuela. The creole's eventually thought that they were being mistreated, and had no respect. There was also no free trade meaning that they can only trade with Spain (who took advantage of them) finally in 1821 patriot leader Simon Bolivar put down the Spanish stronghold.

In Spanish America creole was referred to white Spaniards. In Brazil creole was referred to Brazilian-born Africans.
